Who brings what

You bring the two of you. We carry the day.

You bring

  • Your outfits and stylingThe styling is yours. We talk through the mood, the wardrobe and any props on a call before the day.
  • One rough dateThat is enough to start. The exact day is settled on a call before you fly.

We bring

  • A photographer and a filmmakerSide by side, so your photographs and your film come out of the same light.
  • Direction in your languageEnglish, Korean and Tagalog. Nothing goes through an interpreter.
  • The places and the timingEvery scene gets a scouted place and a time chosen for its light. You never manage the day. We do, including the bags.
How it works

From the first message to the film.

  1. Send a messageWhatsApp, Instagram, LINE or KakaoTalk. One rough date is enough to start. Dianne reads every message herself and answers within a day. No deposit to start.
  2. A callWe talk about the two of you and which film fits. For a full day, this is the pre-meeting, well before the day.
  3. The planWe choose the places and time each one to its light. For a full day, the conversation becomes a written treatment you read and correct before the shoot.
  4. The dayWe direct in plain English and keep the day moving. You never manage the schedule.
  5. The films and the photographsOur photographer and filmmaker shoot side by side, so the film and the edited photographs come from the same day. A full day also comes with a teaser to send as your save-the-date and a vertical cut for Reels.
When to come

Two short seasons, and the rest of the year.

Cherry blossomSeoul usually blooms in the first half of April. Each tree is at its fullest for about a week.
AutumnThe color peaks from mid-October into November, and the exact days move with the weather.
All yearEvery film on our Stories page has its own season. Blossom and autumn fill first, so a few weeks' notice is worth it for those two.

Questions
How much is a pre-wedding shoot in Korea with you?
A half-day pre-wedding starts at ₩2,000,000 (about $1,430) and a full day at ₩4,000,000 (about $2,860), or ₩5,000,000 (about $3,580) if we stay on after dark. For a lighter couple shoot, Seoul Diary starts at ₩750,000 (about $540). Every package includes both the film and the photographs.
Do you speak English?
Yes. We direct in English, Korean and Tagalog. Nothing goes through an interpreter.
Do we bring our own outfits?
Yes. The styling is yours. We talk through the mood, the wardrobe and any props on a call before the day.
Is it a studio shoot?
No. We shoot on location, in real places in Seoul and across Korea, timed to the light.
How far ahead should we book?
Blossom and autumn fill first, so a few weeks' notice is worth it for those two. For the rest of the year, one rough date is enough to start.
Can we shoot outside Seoul?
Yes. We have filmed in Andong, Jeju, Pohang, Busan and on Nami Island. Andong, Pohang and Nami Island are also K-drama filming locations. Destination shoots outside Seoul add a travel fee, agreed before you book.
Do we pay a deposit to start?
No. A message starts the conversation. No deposit until you want one.

It starts with a message.

One rough date is enough. We read every message ourselves and reply within a day.
